Default licence plate position

dont know wether this is the right place to post this as its kind of a cross topic question.but here it is.

ive just had a greddy gracer lip installed, and i considering putting my licence plate at the bottom of the front grill. will this cause cooling/air flow issues? keeping in mind i have a aem v2 cai that sits of to the of the grill.
the plate is roughly 4"high x 12" wide

i used to mount my plate in the grill of my ap1. It took up about half the air space. Had it in there for a few months including a spirited drive through the desert and never saw any change in temp over having no plate.

Watch the video on the home page. Yeah, license plates affect cooling. But it doesn't matter unless you're on a track....in which case, remove it.

I have had the license mounted off the grill for most of the life of the car. Never had cooling issues. To track the car I remove the plate.

I have mine mounted like this:

It works, and I DD it in traffic and the Texas heat. It seems to run as cool as it did this winter. I am sure it increases the temps, but by how much I have no idea. Though not enough to light up another bar on the temp gauge. The hottest I have had heavy traffic (move a few feet, stop for a minute, rinse and repeat) It was 90 degrees.

It it causes problems with heat, I will relocate it again. BTW, I know its not sitting perfect in he pics. I have readjusted it since I took those pics.

hey operator207 dont they do skinny plates in the states. cause no offence but that thing is ugly.
u should at least take that black trim off the plate , it might make it look a little smaller

also i feel for u my berlina black brother.
hardest paint job in the world to look after.
