Nice find! Using the theory in the related article, i have calculated the effect of using the 8lb fidanza flywheel on AP1:

Dtire = 23.9722
Rtire = 11.9861
Rfly = 5.57

M1 = 7 * (1+ 0.5*(5.57/11.9861*3.133*1.16*4.1)^2 = 174.8136 lb = 79.29kg

M2 = 7 * (1+ 0.5*(5.57/11.9861*2.045*1.16*4.1)^2 = 78.4978 lb = 35.6kg

So that equals to about 80kg weight saving or 17bhp increase in first gear and about 35kg weight saving or 8bhp increase in second gear.

Sounds very nice!!!

for s/c applications the lighter flywheel will improve the heavy flywheel feel the s/c gives and for turbo apps you will spool quicker
man fvvck physics, you need to learn how to use commas lol

I was wondering when the "torque loss" debate was going to come up. Im so glad that website was posted, i actually looked for it when this thread first came up just so this argument wouldnt start. Ah well.

I had a fidanza flywheel and clutchmasters clutch in my h22 accord. That setup kicked ass. I'm swapping my ap1 for a fidanza at the same time when my clutch goes bad. I've got a fidanza and exedy combo in my 240sx as well

Lightweight flywheel and a Carbon Fiber driveshaft with aluminnum hubs at the ends would be phenomenal. I will have R&D discuss among themselves.
