Default Looking to buy a clutch

I am in the market for getting a new clutch on my S2k...Its an AP1 with bolts ons , i may eventually do a s/c or something , but nothing over 500whp... I hear that these Stage 2 Competition Clutches are pretty good...I just wanted to see what people think about them - Does anyone have one on their s2k that can gimme some feedback??

The stage 2 won't hold 400-500HP. I think mid 300s is all they are good for.

There is no perfect clutch. You will hear bad things about the competition and about the ACT. There are trade offs to each. The ACT is pretty stiff, the competition is a little louder (has some "buzz" and also I have heard has other mechanical noises).

I have a competition stage 2. I dont have clutch buzz, it grabs real hard, but it is EXTREMELY light. It took a lot of getting used to, I felt like I was learning to drive stick again.

Also, I've found even slight "feathering" on a hill will get me the burning clutch smell.

Other than getting used to it, and the whole feathering thing I love it. After breakin I was chirping the tires into 3rd... can't wait for warmer weather to let her all out again.

I have the Competition Stage 4 6puck sprung hub in my hatch and it's a great clutch. Not really stiff in the pedal and it grabs like no other. You do get some chatter with it though, especially when it's cold. But that's a puck style clutch for ya...

I've got 345whp on my stage 2 and it holds great. Check inline pro, they have CC (all stages + flywheel) for $695
