Thumbs up Looking to drop.. opinions on Tein S.Tech springs?

I can pick a set up new for $170ish shipped.

I am not looking for a crazy drop, as its a DD in New Jersey - looking to do a 1.0 drop f/r with the 17s that are on the car. Tires are 215 front and 245 rear. Will I experience any rubbing with this setup and adding the s.tech springs?

Is this a good deal, and does anyone recommend anthing else besides the Tein S.tech springs? Seems like a fair deal for a good brand of springs.

Anyone have these and opinions/reviews?

by the way, some sites say 1 inch drop, and some say 1.5... anyone chime in?

i live in nj too and have these springs on stock shocks. rides like stock, only its 1in lower. my stock shocks have 56k on them.

i have 17s with 215 and 245 and dont rub at all. 17 x 7.5 and 17 x 8 with a +51 offset all around.

its a 1 inch drop.

Is there any racing or competition use planned for these springs?

Nothing serious, just occasional spirited driving on the street. But don't plan any track events.

Does it matter? Like are you saying this because you would prefer something else?

I think he's asking because this is the racing and competetion forum. We generally answer questions about racing and competetion

On the whole racers aren't interested in how much drop they get, they want performance from their suspension.

The red flags were his "Hott" screen name and no reference to spring RATES, just lengths....

Here ya go, buddy, a better location for a thread like this:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showforum=193

My recommendation is to take a quick look at the description of a forum before entering it and posting a thread. That description may help you decide if it's actually the appropriate forum for your question. Also, you may want to read the stickies at the top of each forum before you post in that forum, because there may be additional information about what is appropriate and not appropriate for a specific forum. Also, there's a possibility that your question may have already been answered and the answer is included in one of those stickies.
