I am looking for an oem style dry carbon fiber hood.

I googled it and google showed me some seibon carbon hoods which cost more than 1.5k dollars.

Some say seibon only produces "wet" carbon fiber products.

Does anybody know a good quality oem style dry carbon fiber hood less than 1k dollars?

Not dry carbon. Seibon is going to be the cheapest. They do make a dry carbon version like you said that is around $1600: http://www.andysautosport.com/honda/2000_9...ib00185559.html

The other dry carbon ones I know about are not OEM style and are more than $2 or 3K.

 

OEM style..? why pay $$ for something that doesn't release heat, and possibly weigh even more than OEM hood.

 

If you're going for weight there are better places to lose it first.

 

cf weight reduction is really pointless... our aluminum hoods weigh less than cf hoods anyways unless you go with dry carbon but you'll be paying an arm and a leg for that. I don't even know of a company that makes a oem style dry carbon hood. like they said above its useless. just go for a wet carbon fiber hood and you'll be good
