Looking for Mugen hardtop reviews
I have been looking for an OEM hardtop, but it has become nearly impossible to find a decent one. I am considering buying a Mugen hardtop (fiberglass) since it uses OEM seals and latches so I assume it's the closest to an OEM fit and finish. For the people with the Mugen hardtop, how has it held up and what are the pros and cons? Thanks.
I was lucky to find the carbon fiber version Mugen hardtop, and I loved it. It was my favourite hardtop, and I had an OEM hardtop before the Mugen HT. The fitment and seals and latches are all high quality, pretty much perfect.
What I liked best was the difference in sound within the car. The OEM hardtop seemed to trap sounds entering the cabin with the sound insulator panel on the top, the Mugen top sounded better to me. I would highly recommend any Mugen top, the carbon fiber one is crazy expensive but I was lucky to get one at a good price used. Lighter than OEM as well.
