is there any known issues with aftermarket crank pulley's and this motor?

back when i had my supra i know it was risky to run these non-harmonically balanced pulleys and could cause "crank-walk"

and also be aware these are underdrive pulley's.. which in turns causes them to rotate less, lowering the efficiency of your water pump/alternator.
Maybe.

And no there are no underdrive pullies.

I've been running unorthodox pulleys for about 50 thousand miles and have had no issues. they are standard size pulleys, same as stock. not much hp gains, but acceleration is improved. why would a company make a product that would screw your engine up. that would make for some pretty big law suits.

its not the accessory pulleys i was talking about, but i know for a fact that unbalanced crank pulleys that are made for other engines can cause problems. they dont have harmonic balancers on OEM crank pulley's for nothing..

like i said i dont know if this does or does not apply to the s2000, i was just throwing it out there as it is definitely something to investigate before throwing on a crank pulley.

One of the Unorthodox pulleys IS for the crank.

Even more of a call for concern. i dont want to open up a whole can of worms like in that other thread that was pasted a few posts above. i just throwing out the reasons why this may not be the safest of modifications since there is some small percentage of a risk.

I understand what your saying and yes your right that you should research before you buy to make sure its not going to hurt your engine. but if this crank pulley was bad for your engine, then that would mean that alightweight flywheel is also bad for it. i would hope that if it is a reputable company that they have done the necessary research to produce a safe product for use on these engines. i guess thats why theres not that many companies that make these pullies.

The S2000's engine is internally balanced. It wont harm it. The reason factory crank pulleys are heavy is to help dampen vibrations that would otherwise transmit into the cabin.

Try to remember the last time a crank pulley was used on a motorcyle engine.
