Personally, I would spend the extra cash for an OS Giken LSD.

The Carbonetic LSD is also very nice, smooth, and quiet

I don't have any experience with aftermarket LSD's, but I do have experience with aftermarket gears. Unless you are serious about drag racing, keep the stock gear ratio. If you were NA, and did most of your driving on surface streets (ie. very little highway, no road racing, no autocrossing), then lower gears would be fine. If you autocross, lower gears are going to make your car way less competitive.

You need a lower gear ratio or one equivalent to the stock gears. If not your going to be going through gears too fast and you won't maintain any power. If you have a dyno that would help.
