Rays lugs are fine. Maybe a problem if you take em off and on for track setups or something but if you just want a good looking set of quality lugs for DD wheels, rays are more than fine

^ Very poor quality.

Kics are a good, durable lug nut, albeit pricey.

What do you mean ray's are soft? If you take them off and on alot, yeah they will start to show wear, but these are very minor. Been using these with my Prodrive's and they are fine.

i've had several of my friends saying that i should stay away from duraluminums, but they didn't say rays... that's why i'm asking for people's opinion here.

any particular reason why? are they more prone to fall off? break?

so far the only problems i've had with mine are that they get scratched easily if i'm not careful with the torque wrench

They won't fall off or break if torqued properly

I assume what his friends are talking about is the tendency of aluminum lugs to strip after being taken on and off many many many times. They will slowly round off and need replacing after a long while.

Well do you want open ended or closed? The soft metal one hold up fine unless you use a impact on them then thay fail and cause problems,
5Zigen ProRacer Lug Nuts are good ones from personal experience.

Good luck!!!
