Default Machine ap1 Driveshaft flange to fit ap1 and ap2

I'm sending my ap2 diff on its way to puddy dad to be built, but I would like it to work on both ap1 and ap2 cars incase I wasnt to part it out later on or just trade it in later on.

I want to take my ap1 flange to a machine shop and have them machine in the ap2 larger m8 pattern into the ap1 flange so it will work on all year cars.

wondering is anyone has done this before?

No but you could. I just replaced the flange rather then mod it.
