Default Megan header on F22C

Hopefully I'll have better luck with this here than the N/A subforum...
I'd like to hear from any AP2 owners who have experience with the Megan header. It appears to be designed for AP1 but I've read a few posts where it had worked fine on AP2 and others where there have been fitment issues, most notable the O2 sensor bung being at the "wrong angle," making correct installation impossible. Maybe I should just get the Berk.

thanks guys

sounds like you answered your own question.

im not trying to be a wise ass but honestly im pretty sure you know what your options are-

1. if you buy the megan header and the o2 is in the wrong location call up megan and have them replace their defective product

2. if megan won't replace the product have a shop weld a o2 bung in the right location.

3. dont buy a part that is engineered poorly/it seems like megan isnt paying any attention to quality control if this is a common problem.

4. do your research to find out what other companies engineer headers in the same price range.

im not bad mouthing megan, im sure their products work and are only a third of the cost than what other companies charge. if you are concerned with fitment issues call megan to get more info and ask them about their warranty policy. it just sounds like a gamble buying a product your not sure will fit. just be smart about it...

if you know its a common problem and megan has done nothing to fix it then why should you spend your hard earned dollars on it?

btw im running a berk header and ive had no issues with it at all. i did my research before i bought it and even called berk to ask them questions about their product and warranty policy.

on a side note, there isnt anything wrong with buying cheap parts-there is something wrong if you dont do your homework and research about those products...

im tired of threads like this cluttering up the forum.

I have a Megan header on my car - Though I am an AP1 - fitment is tight, though it is able to be installed, but you will need a garage with a lift, some patience to complete it properly -

I am happy with the header, but don't read that as an endorsement. Its really about the price - you get what you pay for and if you want performance, looks and ease in installation, well, look for some of the higher end JDM products and as posted earlier, do the research.

A the time I was buying, my budget was tight, and the options for a header on the cheap were either DC sports or Megan. Today I would also look into F1 and ARK.

Keep asking questions as you mod your car, its part of research.

Thank you, I will. And thank you for your constructive reply to my question. As for cluttering the forum or whatever, I guess I owe an apology to anyone that was inconvenienced by reading a question about a part on the Modification and Parts subforum. I hadn't found a lot of information and went to a good source for it. Its irrelevant now really; I found a nice deal on another one I know will work. I did the research on this one.
