Default mg engine covers

does anyone out there have the mastergrade engine covers? I am wondering how much if any does it up the heat in the engine bay? I would think they kill the air flow somewhat

p.s. if some has them can they post up pics on them on there engine bay?

this is what i am talking about

I just think it would really clean up the engine bay. I would make my own custom ones. just worried about if it heats up the engine bay too much or changes the way the air flows around in the bay. I know something as small as a radiator cover helps cool and the air flows different just wondering.

As far as heat goes I really don't think you'd have a problem. I was just asking because something like this (IMO) would usually be on a luxury car, or something where it's necessary to make the engine bay look cleaner. I've had a few cars with covers, and to me since you have to obviously screw it down so it stays in place, it's just one more thing getting in the way when you need to get some work done. But like I always say...it's your car and your decision.

true and i do most of my own work and really only do major work in the winter when the car is down for months anyway so not a big factor for me, and i can make custom things out of fiberglass, was actually going to use some kevlar i got to how it would look with the spa yellow, just doing something to be different, since i can do it my self wouldnt cost anything but some time.
