Thumbs up Modifry or Ricks Speedometer Calibrator

I've got a Puddymod diff on the way with some 4.56 gears and am curious which speedometer calibrator people prefer, or if it really matters which one I get.

Based on price alone, for two devices which perform identical tasks and seemingly simplistic circitry (which you wouldn't expect to fail), I'd go with the cheaper.

To clarify: I do not own nor have I used either of these devices.

I got 4.56 gears from puddy as well and initially went with the modifry recalibrator. It worked wonderfully but i started to have some problems with it, It wouldn't transmit the signal correctly and I would have to unplug it and plug it back in and it would work again. I talked with bob at modifry about my problem for a long time and he was very helpful and understanding with my situation. He tried his best to help me figure out what was wrong but in the end I tried the yellowbox and i haven't had the problem. Bob assured me , and i have heard from others using the yellowjacket that my problems were rare with the product and probably an isolated inscodent. So having used both products, I can say the yellowjacket is more accurate, I have the yellowbox dialed to about -2mph and the yellowjacket was dead on, the yellowjacket is mucch easier to adjust on the fly and is cheaper. Either product will get the job done and I would recommend the yellowjacket just because it is cheaper, and it does have a reliable service record which i am sure others can vouch for. I hope this helped in your descision and have fun with the geears they are a blast.

Thank you for your input I like thorough responses like that they are always best for making a good decision.

Ben is sending a Yellow Box with my diff I figured it was just easier as he had one on hand so I just bought it off him

I'm pretty sure Rick's doesn't make a speedo recalibrator.

They just re-sell them.
