Default Modify the stock exhaust for more sound?

Hi everyone!

I'm running a 2004 Honda S2000 with the AP1 engine and facelift bumpers, lights and exhaust tips.

Looks like this:

The "problem" as I see it; my girl friends Seat Ibiza 1.6 has more exhaust sound than my S2000, but I still like the design of the stock exhaust very much!
Therefore, is there any way to modify the exhuast for gaining more exhaust sound?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply!

Will the sound level increase that much if replacing the cat with a test-pipe?

Any recomendations which test-pipe to choose and for export to Sweden?

it is minimal to nothing if you ask me, just get an exhaust if you want sound. theres the asura or supersprint if you want the stock oval tips.

Okey, thanks for the input. On my CTR EP3 you can replace the mid-pipe with a supersprint pipe to increase power and loudness (not to load), but still keeping the stock tips.

Is there a similar solution for the S2k?

the entire cat-back is 1 piece on an s2k... so you pretty much have to replace the whole thing

Yeah a test pipe just changes the tone of the exhaust, doesnt really make it louder with the OEM system. What I would do is get some magnaflow mufflers and paint them black if you want more of an OEM look, then weld your AP2 exhaust tips to it. You would never know it had aftermarket mufflers until you start it and everything. Magnaflows sound great on our S and will flow better with minimal drone.

Thanks for all the tips!

Is there a center-pipe to buy for replacing the center resonator?

Since its all one piece there is no bolt in pipe. you would have to cut it out and weld in a piece of proper diameter pipe.
