Mods and Reliability
I just got my 05 two days ago.
I love the car, its everything I thought it would be.
I plan on doing the basic bolt ons in the near future.
Has anyone had any reliability issues with simple mods,
if so which ones.
Also which mods seem to have no affect on reliability?
Reliability is important to me as this is my daily driver.

I have an 06. I did a K&N fipk, counter sunk shift knob(team voodoo from Ricks2k, best cheap mod.you can get) and cat-back exhaust. No problems at all. I plan on a ECU reflash at some point, but that will be it for me.
IMO you might have issues if you go much further than that.
I am not a fan of forced induction, headers, throttle bodies, test pipes, etc. Seems risky to go that far... there will be plenty that disagree. Just my opinion, to each his own. Good driving.

i have an 07 and i just did exhaust and im planning on doing alot of suspension mods, and than probably supercharger becasue it is pretty reliable.
If you only want to do bolt ons i would do headers, intake, test pipe or high flow cat, single exhaust (for the most power) or go with a dual of ur choosing. Also since you have an 05 you can't get a reflashed ECU.
You won't have any reliability problems with headers, exhaust, intake, testpipe.
NExt i would get a greddy emanage ultimate and get it tuned if you have a good tuner near you. This will get you some good gains but your looking at about 500-600 for the unit and another 300-500 to tune. Its a piggyback so if you ever have a problem you can take it off and take ur car to honda.
Now thats just "performance mods"
If you want like suspension mods i would go front sway and either coilovers or GC/koni combo... either one is good.

you will only start to see reliability issues once you go FI. bolt ons, if installed properly, will not affect reliability.

Like said above don't be cheap, being cheap is what makes things unreliable. There are a lot of guys that have gone FI with no issues because they didn't go cheap.
