Default most exotic s2k exhaust sound

Let me start off by saying... yes I know the s2000 is not a v12 beast, or a 4 liter v10 or a 2.5Liter f1 racec I'm trying to find the perfect exhaust note per my taste highly subjective and I know *flame suit* ... what is your favorite exhaust on the s2k.

I have the hks high power on my list of favorites because it can be found relatively easily, sounds good and I like the look.

Now. Ideally. I want the following. No or little HONDA RASP. I like mellow, medium loudness, little rasp and not as much "bite" with the note as many exhausts offer.
Price is whatever, I just want it to sound awesome.

A couple other exhausts sound great near high rpm but like a civic at lows. Post videos or whatever necessary. I have done a lot of yyou tubing with little success.

I'm very happy with the UK exhaust mod, plus PRM intake.

Check out the Gern-pipe by Gernby on this board. It's a unique design which features an expanding diameter and integrated cat. There's also helmholtz resonance tuned exhausts by Ark (DTS) and Evasive (SSP) that are reasonably priced. Beyond that, there is the JDM stuff like the Amuse Siren ($$$$). Everything else I've seen has been pretty standard stuff with inline resonators and mufflers of varying sizes.

I went with the skunk2 which is a standard design because it came with silencers. It rips like a race car, or sedate with the silencers in. With or without the silencers the drone is still there, just varying degree of volume. The tuned systems mentioned above are designed to kill the drone frequencies and improve performance.

Or, for cheap you can do the UK exhaust mod.

None of this may help you at all, but ill go through my quest for the same euro note you've described.
I bought my car, 03, a little over a year ago. It came with a custom dual set up that was loud as hell, extremely obnoxious, but sounded great at WOT. Way too loud though.
So I took that off and bought an AP2 stock exhaust. was accompanied with a cheapy cia. I freaking loved it. Especially while just scooting around town. It reminded me of a Porsche.

I recently switched to an aem v2 CIA and that euro sport sound I was in love with immediately disappeared. All I could hear was intake suck.

Then I installed a test pipe and now I can hear the exhaust again, but it does not have that euro growl like it used to.
And it definitely has a rasp, but only when i'm sitting still and blip the throttle. I'll be switching back to my old intake soon to see if I can get happy with it again.

So my .02$..... The stock exhaust with the right intake sounds awesome to me. And anything you do to this car from intake to tailpipe can have a dramatic affect on the tone/note of the exhaust. Just keep that in mind during your pursuit.

Dual with an FIPK and OEM cat. Little bit of drone, but almost nonexistant 95% of the time. Nice grumble down low, screams up high. HKS dual was an exhaust I was looking at for a while, but Q300 is fitting the bill quite nicely.

If you're buying an exhaust solely for a refined sound and aren't chasing a ton of horsepower the Mugen exhaust is want you want. No question.

No drone, no rasp, it's fit and finish is that of an OEM exhaust and it makes the car sound 'expensive'. It's also a ton of money for an exhaust that gives you little to no horsepower.

There used to be a website called s2000library or something similar to that where all of the different types of exhausts have sound and video clips so that you could hear their differences. If it's still around it's worth checking out.
