Default Mugen Air Filter?

Hello s2ki, I'm considering buying just a performance filter for my '00 and so far the Mugen one is the I wanna buy. Just wanted to hear everyone's opinion on it and suggestions for a place to buy it.

No experience with Mugen but bought the CT ENGINEERING filter from them. Very easy to assemble and added more noise. No other noticeable difference.

Honestly it's an air filter. It's going to be fine but for that amount of money id just buy a k&n or ct engineering.

I've never been a fan of mesh filters. You can get better ones out there for less money, then again the oem air filter is hard to beat too.

It'll earn you cool points at a car meet or something, but that's about it.

That's a pricey filter I'd get it if your doing an all meugen build. Reminds me of that thread where the guy was doing an all ""arc"" build, he took alot of static.

To each is own ive overpaid for name plenty of times but for a filter.. I just cant see it. That's right on par with the ASM screws that cost 10,000 each -.-

Okay thanks for the input. What I wanna try and shoot for is light mods while keeping it mostly stock. That's why I thought about the performance filter

If that's the case I'd just go with the k&n

Exactly.

K&N

If you have any doubts mugen uses a K&N filter in their full intake.

CT if you really want a foam one.

Both are 1/4 of the price and will do the exact same thing.
