Default Mugen Hardtop with glass?

I used the search function, but did not find anything about this subject...

OK so I am buying a VIS CF Mugen style hardtop and I know all the mugen hardtops don't come with a glass rear windows. I think the plexiglass will look bad over time and tiniting the glass seems like a hassle. I have a shop that told me they can make a copy of the plexiglass made with real automotive glass for the rear window. Has anyone done this before ? It seems like a good idea and I think would look a lot better. What do you guys think?

i am going to have a shop maybe make it for me and do the install... i want to have my rear window tinted.. i asked a shop to do the plexiglass but they said i would need some static tint so it stays on, but will it bubble up over time? does anyone have their rear plexiglass tinted with success?

the mugen window comes from the factory tinted pretty dark already. I don't know about the replicas though. I've had mine for quite some time, and I park outside 24/7 in Hawai'i sun and noticed no fading at all.

does the plexiglass look good as good as glass? does it get marked up easy? i rather not spend more money if i dont have to get the glass if it isnt that bad.

I've never scratched it with anything.. Like I said. I have no garage at home or at work or anywhere in between. I get bird crap, rain, sea salt, tree twigs/nuts, berries.. you name it.. I just wash it and it is a clean and clear as can be. Plus i believe it is shatterproof/resistant whereas that glass will not be either of those. Plus glass just adds more weight to a 45 lbs hardtop.

also, when you see a mugen top, i'd say that 95+% of people have the plexi. could you tell?

I just made my 31lb hardtop a little heavier with my glass window
