I won't be able to make a good A-B comparison since I've never put the hardtop on the car yet. I've only driven with the soft top up so my hope is that the combination of the hardtop and soft top will make the interior calmer. I'm also having the interior of the car lined with Dynamat.

Mine has the sound deadening as well, it makes a massive difference in the Mugen top since it's just bare fiberglass. The Mugen top was as loud as having the soft top up, in some cases a touch louder since the sounds could just bounce around inside the cabin.

I've also had an OEM top on for a long drive and my Mugen top with the headliner is slightly quieter.

Jay, SCATs sent me a kit which contained the headliner, install template, adhesive-backed velcro, and install video. If you plan to do the install yourself, know that it isn't easy, but it isn't hard. It requires patience, precision and some attention to detail. The instructions weren't perfect and I sent Allen some specific feedback about the inaccuracies so hopefully it will be improved.

Last weekend, I noticed that the fit was so tight toward the front of the hardtop, the strength of the velcro had overcome the adhesive backing. I told Allen and he happily sent me some extra velcro. When I reapply it, I'll make sure there isn't as much tension.

How much did the kit run you?? Also, is it possible to dynamat the HT and then install the headliner or would it be too hard to fit the headliner after?

You could dynamat the HT and install the headliner over it. You would simply just dynamat the areas where the headliner does not attach to the hard top.

Jay, you should contact Allen at SCATs (his phone number is on the first page of this thread) and ask for pricing. My headliner came with custom cut sound deadening material, but as Gavin said, you can DIY.

Yeah, speak with Allen directly. Allen and I came up with this headliner as well as the full headliner we did in Casey's Sebring car so I can answer your questions on here. Best bet though is to call Allen directly.
