Default Mugen intake or k&n intake?

Hey today I started wondering if the mugen intake system or the k&n fipk will get the most out of a s2k??

Dun worry I'm not going to look at the price or anything ONLY interested in torque and hp

Mugen intake system link : http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/me...a_S2000_Intake

K&N fipk intake: http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/me...a_S2000_Intake

Thanks in advance!

You're not going to feel any major differences between them if any, so I would choose the FIPK since it's cheaper, will give you a little power, and looks decent. Also it's direct bolt on while with the Mugen intake you have to cut the underside of your hood just to make it fit.

i just thought: mugen's alooot expensive... think its bring kinda alot of extra power compared to the K&N. seems not, glad you changed my mind , have to say the mugen one looks awesome but sinds im not driving with my hood open i won't see it anyways up we go for the K&N!

so i guess the price tag finally scared you away from only being interested in horsepower/torque huh...

nope care only about preformance but why pay more money if you will get the same results? if you sit @ a bar and you look @ the price of a beer and sez $10, and you know around the corner of a street they ask about $2 for the same beer and same brand 100% the same, why in Gods name would you ever buy this $10 beer while you know you get the same.

That's a little irrelevant since the intakes aren't the same brand.. But I guess I understand your logic..

But if you really want a difference you'll feel, ditch those 18's for some decently lightweight 17's

If you only care about performance you should go FI or get nitrous. I have a 75 wet shot on my S and it's sweet.

FI mean Forced Induction (turbo or supercharger). NA mods aren't going to get you very far, and if you want a good amount of power you will probably end up spending just as much as you would on a used supercharger and make a ton more power. Nitrous would be the cheaper option as long as you aren't spraying it all the time since fill-ups would end up costing you quite a bit. If you went through a 10lb bottle every couple months you will spend less than $500 a year on refills which isn't bad at all. You can run a 75 wet shot safely and make just as much power as a basic supercharged s2k, but with nitrous you will have more torque which is always nice. I have a very nice ZEX kit that is only activated at wide open throttle and I also have a window switch that makes it so it only activates from 4000-8500 RPM's for safety. If you want to look into nitrous more take a look at my guide. You will spend much less than a used supercharger and make just as much as a bolt on basic supercharger for far less with nitrous.

Used basic supercharger used ~$2500
Safe nitrous kit and make just as much power but with more torque ~$1000 depending on the options you get with it, I have a ton of extras (window switch, AEM fuel rail, AEM wideband, bottle opener, warmer, purge, ect..) and I spent right around $1000

Maybe he's and all motor purist. Not everybody likes FI, yet people push it hard core on this forum.
