Smile muz x brace

hello:

i'm having problems trying to fit the muz brace, its been almost a year since i bought it. the first time it came the bolts didn't come with it. the second time only 3 bolts came terrible customer service from muz accesories.

i'm trying to find a bot that will match with the other ones and also trying to make it fit, because it doesn't line up.

^^^ like he'd said, you gotta line it up and put the bolts in just so it catches, from there you should be able to torque them down evenly.

Why don't you contact MUZ about your probs?
I have had nothing but excellent service from them. I have nearly bought all their S2000 accessories from them.
They even helped me out in sourcing a few spare parts that they do not even sell and sent them to me.

Stop whingeing and take action!!! Contact them

I don't get it. If a bolt is missing why are you trying to install the item?

The original bolts (which are stapled and taped to the brace in a plastic packet) may have been misplaced by US Customs when inspecting the package. It's nothing to do with us not sending them. In fact I personally sent more at my own expense ($40 shipping) as soon as I was informed.

Have you taken one of the exisiting bolts to a hardware store and ask for another (about 20c ea)?

I have also, on more than one occassion, asked you ...

'Did you loosen off surrounding bolts? '
'Did you use a hoist?'
'Did you insert all 4 points simultaneously?'

...however you have not once answered these specific questions.

I asked you these questions because you initially indicated that you were inserting the front cups first and then trying to insert the rear ones.

There is some good fitting advice in this thread. I'm doing my best to help you. It's very difficult for me to advise you however when I don't receive the necessary feedback.

If you can't fit the item I am willing to try, as a matter of good will, to organise a replacement from the manufacturer. Of course I can't guarantee they'll replace an item you've had for a year (To be fair I don't know many manufacturers who would) but nonetheless I'll do my best.

i can't find that fourth bolt, my friend's grandpa owns a hardware store and they don't have that kind of bolt, unless they do a special order which i have to order 100 of them for 1 dollar each.

There are plenty of threads on the Muz Whiteline brace not fitting. The brace fits fine, its just that you have to know how their geometry works.

Good X braces will only fit is the car is EVENLY off the ground, so the chassis doesn't have ANY flex it in. The reason why it's not fitting is because the chassis is twisted. Jack the car up, on level ground, to equal heights on all corners, and it will fit.
