Default Need Help Choosing an Exhaust!

Okay so I'm in the market for a catback exhaust and my price range is anywhere up to about 750 shipped or so. I'm not too worried about the performance increases at the moment but more concerned with sound quality. So if someone could give me some suggestions on an exhaust system that has a deep note that would be great. Really do not want something that sounds like someone rippin ass all the time lol. Thanks for all the help guys. O and I would like a dual exhaust as well, just dont feel the single look on the s2k

The invidia q300 fits in your range and is fairly quite. I think greddy makes one as well but it may be more than that. I am kinda in the same boat and there isn't a ton of exhausts in that price range. If you can save and maybe budget about $1k then you have alot more options which is why I am waiting.

I have been researching the same. I want a nice sounding exhaust without being too loud.

Here is what I found for duals:

70mm to 60mm piping
- Greddy Spectrum Elite
- Invidia Q300 V4

60mm piping
- Tanabe Touring Medallion
- Magnaflow
- Fujitsubo Legalis-R
- Comptech

The rest like T1R etc are loud. Also, if you run a testpipe, you may reduce some drone, but will have increased volume.

Price wise - Magnaflow and Invidia are the cheapest and in that 750 range.

One thing I need to figure out is if there is raspiness - like a fartcan a kid has on his EF Civic - the raspiness is disgusting IMHO.

Good luck with search. Keep me updated as to what you get!

I have the invidia Q300. I bought it for 565 picked up. It's great sounding and also kinda quiet. Coupled with a test pipe and it sounds amazing IMO. It's a 60mm too so it should yield some decent gains for a dual

Have pics? Is this V3 or V4? Do you mean 70mm main pipe to 60mm duals? Thanks!

I have the Comptech and cannot say enough good things about it. I had an Invidia before and did not like it...the day to day sound was NOT a pleasure.

Yeah Ive been looking at a bunch of videos for the invidia dual n1 style dual exhaust and none of them sound the same. Some sounds pretty good and have a nice growl to them while others sound like me after a night of chinese food lol. but i did find that the skunk2 catback sounded really good and its around my price range. havent really researched it anymore outside of the sound quality. Heres a sound clip
