but my thought is the spoon spring are supposed to be some of the best handling springs, right? well the skunk2 springs have the same rates and will drop the ride height about 1.5", .5" lower than the spoon springs would

Don't take this offensively or anything but why did you buy a CR and not a regular 08?

because i saw it at the dealership, noticed the hardtop, tonneau cover, rear spoiler, front lip, two tone interior, 2.2 , only black one i saw on the lot, blacked out headlights and badges. but o well, i guess stock ride is the only supported choice, i cant afford coilovers

Buy whichever you can afford that drop the car to the appropriate height, which have the same rate (or similar) to stock.

At this point it doesn't sound like you purchased the car with performance or racing in mind, so my guess is, other than spring rate (harshness of ride) you won't notice anything different in the handling of the car.

bad logic: same rate at lower height=damper smashing bumpstop all the time.

most lowering spring bump up the spring rate to keep it from moving/using the full stroke(which could be a bad thing)

alot of "show" spring have ap1 rear stiffer than front rates, which will not work with your cr damper valving and sway bar setting.

sounds like you about the hack up the perfectly good suspension just for the look

You're correct. I forgot about that.

My point was simply that the OP listed off a bunch of reasons why he/she purchased his/her CR. None of them were related to performance. As such, I highly doubt they will notice any difference (beyond ride quality and looks) after installing springs.

i got you, but it just seem it's a waste to..well, it is his/her car after all.

i think the op already know most of the spring(esp on oe damper) are more for show than performance.

good night

of course i had performance and racing in mind, its a freakin s2000!!! does a 2.2 liter engine have nothing to do with performance or racing? i dont race road racing or scca, but my second home is the drag strip. yea i know the s2000 isnt a drag car but i had to have rear wheel drive. my last honda was a 2000 civic si with b18 block swap running 12.0's on 15 pounds of boost on a full-race setup. needless to say the s2000 will blow that away time out of the water if i build the f22 as much as i built the bseries.

but i am gonna stick with the stock suspension for a while until i decide to get coilovers
