i was thinking of getting a front lip for my AP2 GPW. baysonr on ebay seems like a very trusted seller. i was thinking of getting the amuse lip. another thought i had was getting his CF lip. i do not and will not put any other CF on my car. what do yall think of putting a CF lip on the car? will it look funky? should i get a painted GPW lip? everything is stock on the vehicle. thanks!

I say get the urethane one and paint it. Carbon would look good on GPW but I feel like you would need some other things to go along with it to make it work. I actually just bought the Amuse style urethane lip from BasyonR also, and i'll be getting my car back from paint today with it all installed. I can get some pics up for you this weekend if interested.

Also, urethane would be a lot more friendly with you. It isn't going to crack, get chips, or anything like that. It will just bend and maybe crack the paint, but you can just re-paint it and it's good as new. If you ever crack or get chips in a carbon lip, you have to get it fixed and then have to paint it. So in the long run, getting a urethane lip and painting it would be the best. Also it's not like you loose much if something happened to it.

I agree with Suzuka i would do the carbon fiber if you had other things carbon fiber like a hood, side diffusers, or even trunk. Since you aren't going to do anything else carbon fiber, go with GPW.

I'll try to get a few pics of later in the day tomorrow. Yeah the lip does come with some hardware but I only use the screws on the inner fender wells. I just use 3M double sided tape along the whole lip to keep it flush with the car, and for this lip you will definetly want to do something to attatch the bottom of the lip down. The body shop is actually installing the lip on my brand new ap2 front bumper, so I can't say exactly how much it will be to paint and install it ( I hit a rabbit and damaged my front, so I bought the lip and the body shop let me get an ap2 front bumper to replace my ap1 front, and they are installing the lip for me with their own hardware also).

Usually getting a lip painted at a shop should cost anywhere between $100-$140. Then if they install it they will probably charge you an hour worth of labor, so it might cost a tad over $200 to get it all professionally done by a shop.
