I bought this car less then 8 months ago, and I have a suspicion that it was dragged and torn up. The seller told me it had an ACT kit in it and turns out it was all OEM... Ugh, but on the bright side, I got it for a STEAL, with a crazy stupid rare bumper

Problem was, ACT didn't have the PP in stock so I had to buy a full kit to get the PP, so I bought a full ACT kit, and OEM Clutch, OEM bearings, and the fly wheel. So I was hoping to cut down the price on all that. But looks like I'm gonna just go ahead and go the route you all suggested

That's a good thing to find OEM! It will have the least amount of impact on the thrust bearing and shock to transmission/diff vs a aftermarket kit.

Make sure you bypass the clutch switch afterwards.

You have the perfect setup.

Make sure you follow the grease procedures on the spline/TO bearing/Fork to a Tee! Don't forget to hit the flywheel/clutch disk with brake clean before you button it up, make sure it's oil free!

Did you buy your OEM clutch components from a Honda dealer? Just beware that anything with the name Exedy or "OEM-style" is not what you want. Make sure your OEM friction disc has an "FCC" stamp on it.

Yea, it's all OEM. So I'm going with all OEM except the ACT pp. thanks guys! Do I have to bypass the clutch switch on an 02? And if so, why?

The pressure plate increases stress on bearing espeically on cold starts as there's no oil.

Regardless of year it needs to be done.

Did any one with the ATC/OE setup re-use their stock disk? I'm machining an AP1 flywheel, getting the HD PP and hoping I can re-use my stock friction disk with some new bearings.

Why would you do that? It's all apart just put new parts in it for peace of mind.

The cost savings doesn't make sense for the labor involved, either doing it yourself or paying for it, imo
