Keep the stock setup. You don't need an aftermarket clutch with stock power. You should resurface or replace the flywheel. If you resurface it make sure it's done correctly because the oem flywheels are tempermental.

If it's not a daily get a lighter flywheel as long as you know the drawbacks and are ok with them.

A heavier pressure plate will put more stress on your crank, so if you don't need it you don't want to do it.

Do you ever notice any slipping?

Forgot to mention in my earlier post that this setup feels practically like stock. I didn't notice any difference in the clutch engagement at all (compared to stock). I drove on it for about 500+ miles before my supercharger went on, and it drove just fine before and after the blower. Still going strong after 50K daily driven miles.

As you've noticed, the prices between a regular OEM replacement kit and OEM plate/ACT pressure plate combo isn't that much different. Keep in mind that this setup has been used by many of us here for quite some time now, on a variety of modded AP1s and AP2s (F/I, N/A, daily driven, track driven, etc.), with no complaints. If I were you, I'd seriously consider this combo.
thanks!
I'm not in a rush to buy my new clutch yet but sorta kinda leaning on some upgrade than OEM... hybrid clutch is what I say it is
I'll keep in mind hardtopguy

what about an exedy OEM replacement? they normally are setup to handle a little more power (like 10-15%) which would be nice for any bolt ons ect and keeps the exact stock feel. ive noticed that the exedys do just as well as ACT and tend to be a little cheeper.
