I have a few questions. What holds the two parts together? It looks like it has a lock on it like a socket but how well does it stay together when your using it? How stiff is the center piece since it looks like it is hollow? How much would they be going for?

I use a cheap one wrapped in electrical tape, or my coated sockets.
