Default New to mod's

I got a question about first mods, what are the best things to start with I am going to buy Invidia N1 Dual Exhaust, Exedy Hyper Single Clutch, and a AEM CAI Version 2; however I was wondering if it would be better to get a sligtly less expensive clutch and get invidia headers. The cluth in the car is bad so I need to change it. Any thoughts would be appricated.

thanks,
Scott

Well a clutch is a necessity to drive so i would definitely put that on the top of the priority list. Now if you want to get a cheaper clutch that just depends on what kind of driving you do.
A header wont yield you much gains unless you have all bolt ons and even then you will only maximize your motor with a tune.
i would do clutch first and then an intake or exhaust after that.....

Mostly day to day driving, I plan on changing the wheels and other stuff later. What I meant to ask was if I should get the stock clutch which runs about $550 or get the exedy which I'm looking at $1,350. If I get the stock one I will have enought to get the invidia headers, or I could just save the money to add to upgrades later. About how much does a tune cost by the way I haven't checked into that.

Thanks, MBHs2k

I'd just get an ACT or SOS clutch. Unless you are going to go for over 500whp those should both be good for your needs.

Exhaust mods won't gain you much. All together will get a little bit with a tune but nothing drastic. A tune depends on which engine management you go with. Most go with aem ems or kpro. If you have an 06+ then can get flashpro for it.

Tuning costs varies by tuner. For AEM EMS I paid $600 for the initial tune. Plus the cost of the aem ems of course.

Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Get a comp clutch stage 2. It will hold more than you could ever throw at it N/A. It can be had for under $400 shipped! Try LJ at Full Blown Motorsports!
And a shameless plug for me; I have a megan racing header, invidia 70mm test pipe and invidia 70mm single, AEM Cold Air Intake, and an Apexi VAFC II all for sale. Let me know i you are interested... I made just under 220whp with the above set up!
Nice for an AP1. Im selling as i went turbo. Good Luck either way

What kind of results are you expecting if you get the Invidia headers? What are your plans for your S2000?

Well I wanted to keep the car N/A so my friend said I should get headers, throttle bodies, intake, coil-overs and exchaust being the most important mods to get first. I am on limited funds so I will take some time to get all the stuff I need but I got to start somewhere. Mostly wanted to get it to a really nice sounding car and exterior work I will work on later.

Thanks,
for all the advise

Your friend is wrong.

Tell us what you expect the S2000 to be--handling/more power/ or both?

More power over handling not sure how much the mods will get I was hoping for about 15 hp, it's a 2002 by the way.
