Default NRG hood dampers

i bought some off ebay from a store and in the auction it said to specify if i wanted 1/2 pressure or full pressure and cf or silver. so since i have an oem hood i ordered full pressure and cf for the looks. i recieved them today and they are cf but they are only 1/2 pressure. so i called NRG directly to see if they only make one pressure for s2000's since the hood is pretty light from the factory and the guy said that there is two. so i emailed the ebay seller and explained the situation then asked how he wanted to handle the transaction from here.

fast forward to just now, i checked my email and the seller said he called NRG and the guy there said that theres only one pressure for the s2000's (1/2) since the oem hood is light already. he also said that he talked to the same guy i talked to and that guy said he misinformed me.

so wtf, who do i believe? just wondering if anyone here can give me a definite answer before i call NRG again tomorrow afternoon lol.

thanks in advance

usually you can record a conversation, either through an option on their end or on a cell phone. I would record the guy at NRG saying there are two and play it for the guy on ebay.

...thats what i would do

You can use either full pressure OR half pressure on an oem hood. But on a CF hood you can only use the half pressure.

Yes there are two that work on the S2000

There are two. I have full pressure. hood goes straight up. Amazing for when youre working near your battery/header.

The 1/2 pressure will work just fine. That's what I have on my oem hood. It allows you the convenience of opening the hood to oem height or opening it to the full height.

i thought i read something like this before i bought them, you just confirmed it

so the 1/2 pressure ones will have no problem holding the hood all the way up? i just dont want to put it all the way up to have it slowly come back down to oem height lol

Yeah, they'll keep it nice and high for you. I actually freaked myself out a little once 'cause it came within about an inch of the concrete supports on the ceiling in my parking garage.

I have the half-pressure on my OEM hood and it works perfect. It will stay OEM height or all the way up. You wont be disappointed.

That would be incorrect. You can run the full pressure on a CF hood if you so desire. I've been running the NRG full pressures since they first came out.
