OEM Front Lip
Is the OEM front lip only mounted by the screws at the bottom and the wheel well on each side? Does it require any double side tape?

It also has brackets that attach to the bumper cover/under tray but I think all are push type pins underneath. I believe only the AP2 lip has double sided tape. Both have weatherstrip though.

Depends on whether you have an AP1 or AP2--
the AP1 just uses screws....here's the installation instructions for AP1--

the AP2 uses a number of pieces of double sided tape in addition to the screws.
if you've bought a used lip without the tape, here's the installation instructions for an AP2 which shows you where the tape goes.

use 3m molding tape available at any auto parts store

Thanks for the info. I am looking for the feasibility of putting the OEM on and off so that I can have both the options of being more and less aggressive looks. I hope it needs only screws for mounting. The instructions indeed said it needs double side tapes too and I wonder if it will damage the paint on the front bumper when I decide to take it off one weekend.

The tape is necessary as the AP2 spoiler is taller than the AP1 one. The tape is all along the upper edge to hold it (the upper edge) in place tight against the bumper.
I've put on and taken off one on both the AP2s I've had. Not a hard job but not something I'd want to do for just a weekend with or without it.
Each time you take it off, you'd have to remove and reapply the tape. It's not too expensive ($6-8 a roll) but it's kind of a PITA.
Removing the tape shouldn't hurt the paint on the car at all. It bonds well but comes right off if you "saw" thru it with fishing line or dental floss. Very hard to just "pry" the lip off without cracking the paint on the lip as it's flexible plastic.
Hope this helps
