Thumbs up OEM pastic rear window

2001 S2000
My rear plastic window is basically destroyed...extremely foggy and has a tear. I was going to opt for a whole new soft top with rear glass but i was browsing hardtopguy and saw that they sell a replacement plastic rear window. ive found an entire soft top replacement for around $400 from topsonline bu wondering if this replacement rear from hardtopguy for $200 is the way to go. has any one had any experience with either the replacement rear plastic from hardtopguy or the new soft top from topsonline? also wondering on ease of installation for both.
thanks for your responses

If the rest of your top is in good shape just opt to replace the window. It just depends on your budget.

I had the same problem. So I went with the topsonline top. They referred me to an installer that was not too far away. I would not recommend the installer though. I would get a completely new top for an extra $200 in your case, and not to mention you can upgrade to the glass window. It all depends how sensitive you are about replacing your OEM top for different one. Either way, HTG is an awesome guy and topsonline didn't disappoint. Good luck.

Hey guys, believe it or not your insurance will cover this replacment. i have state farm and the rear window plastic or not is covered for replacment. i got estimates and turn them in and they sent me a check for the window and the labor. so i did it myself and made 330$ replacing my own rear window. the hardest part of replacing that window is lining it up with the rest of the top. there are v shape cuts in the top and on the edge of the window. these have to be lined up perfectly or the top and window won't fold down or come up right. in other words, its a bitch! if you have any specific questions on this, pm me.

If you do go with a top with a glass window, keep in mind it will not fold down as far as the plastic. it sticks up about an inch or so higher than the plastic window. no big deal tho. good luck.
