Default OEM Trunk Spoiler No Drill Method?

The title basically says it all...I'm considering picking up the OEM trunk spoiler and am not very eager to start punching holes in my virgin trunk...from the install instructions it looks like there's 4 holes to be drilled...the middle two use bolts so that's easy to side step, but the sides have built-in studs, correct? Anyone know if these can be easily removed (w/o cutting)?

Ideally I'd like to try to 3M taping it all on first and if fitment is bad or tape doesn't hold, then go ahead and bolt it on.

Any pics or advice from spoiler owners would help!

Tape is not going to hold and you don't want it to come off and hit someone. If you don't want to drill holes in you trunk lid just get a used one from a junk yard.

If its the small one I am sure it will be fine with double sided tape.

I had a Veilside V1 with double sided tape without problems.

Which one is it? I have the AP1 rear spoiler and I just drilled the holes on the end. From in the inside of the trunk you can see where they go as they are marked there. I'm not a fan of just taping a body part on to the car.

The Tape is fine. The OEM moldings are held on with 3M trim adhesive, and those are on vertical panels (although they are lighter). You should have no issues so long as your surfaces are cleaned and prepped appropriately.
