I'm runnig the koni + Swift combo and I have no complaints. The ride is good and the drop is perfect ( on second perch )

Did you keep the CR system on or did you remove it?

i just did the KOni setup with ground control coilovers and they are freaking amazing. The Koni's are set at max firmness and the ground controls are set at a mild drop of 1" with spring rate of 340 fr, and 380 rr.

This made the car soooo much easier to drive at the limit. its a very nice ride now.

Agreed. My mechanic measured the car and got similar measurements. The back didn't lower much on mine, but the front was around the same. Can't remember the exact numbers.

Part of my hypothesis is that both the CR and base models' shocks have the same height. With a much higher damping rate and spring rate in the front, the CR-setup would simply sit higher with the same weight.

I must admit I would love the car to have a smaller fender gap. But then, the parking lots I go through really need to have stock clearance. Also I like the idea of OEM parts ... so CR-setup was a natural choice for me. Though it's not for everyone thoguh ....

Keep in mind, the Konis are said to have softer compression dampening than stock shocks. Rebound is adjustable.

CR springs are stiffer but they are also SHORTER.

Wyatt, I just picked up some Koni's and will be putting the Eibach Pro Kit on. It'll be interesting to compare some time. Come out to Azteca some time!

I have the Koni shocks with H&R springs, and the ride is definitely different than stock.
I'm not much of a suspension guy, so I don't know how to describe the ride feel, but the small bumps on the road feels less harsh compared to stock suspension.
I'd say smoother ride, but with a little less body roll during corners(I know it's not always a good thing.)
