Default opening up the tail lights

just want to make sure but was wondering to open up the tail lights, is it the same way as opening up the headlights, i would asume so but want to double check. the reason why is i was thinking about putting a red film over the the amber part of the ap2 tail lights, not positive if i am but just in case i do decide to.

thanks
J

I think it's the same. I've never done headlights, but a friend and I did open up my taillights.

My friend that helped me said the headlights are way easier. The taillight's lenses have a lot more curve to them. We ended up breaking one of the lenses, now my AP2 tails have one AP1 lense and one AP2 lense.

I bought them used and the seller failed to mention that the lights were previously opened and the amber was sprayed with red lense paint.
