Default Opinion on mods ?

Hey s2k fam ,
I have a 06 s2k , mods so far is I/h/e test pipe , stage 2 clutch, lighten flywheel and tune.
I want to start thinking of what next mod to get , want to increase the power and keep it na for now . Straight to cams or start off with injectors throttle body and manifold ?

What's your ultimate goal with the car? What about doing suspension to keep that power down through the corners?

Straight line power my opinion would be save for boost. If you want something in the mean time try nitrous. I was running a 75 shot and it was fun but made me want more. Currently waiting on a tune for the turbo I purchased.

Find the Speed Academy website and note what they've been doing with their old BADASS2000 race car. With a DBW car (theirs is not) you may not need a different ECU but everything else is useful. They're running (or trying to run) individual throttle bodies at the intake end. They're running a custom high flow cat and to meet noise restrictions where they race (and on the street) the Tanabe Medalion Touring dual exhaust.

They have routine access to a dyno and tuning experts so it'll be difficult to do much better than they're doing without extraordinary expense and time investments.

They know and acknowledge that this exercise is just doing something different. Any real power gains have to come from supercharging or turbocharging but, like you, everyone has already done this so they're curious what additional power is there. Keep in mind their sponsors are paying for all this! And the project has been running since 2014.

Someone in the all motor forum section has a 300something HP NA build. But...its not for drag racing. So I'm not sure how much useable power is there. And I dunno if its streetable.

The car runs 13 sec 1/4 miles out of the box. You may be able to *maybe* touch 12 sec quarters with like a 4.77 gear set, bolt ons, and flashpro with tune. That should keep the car easily streetable. But you'll break diffs. So...save up for diffs.

A K24 swap would also be a "cost effective" way to make NA power...especially for drag purposes.

Anything you do to the F20/22 is going to require a substantial budget per mod.

If you want to stay n/a and have any power gains you're going to have to get a 2.4 stroker kit and then you're looking at 10k+ to make 300whp. You're much better off going the boost route if you drag race but you also chose the wrong car for drag racing lol
