Default Overfenders without cutting? Please help!

I searched but couldnt find an answer... So I just picked up some overfenders for the rear since I did a CF front on the S2. Now the reason I got the overfenders is because since my front it a tad wider it looked odd in the back. So I REALLY don't want to cut the quarter panels, my question is has ANYONE installed these without cutting the quarter panels and just used a spacer to set the wheels out to make it look more pleasing??
I have 17x9 Offset is 48 in the rear with a 255 40 tire on a 2 inch drop.
Here is what It looks like now, I just want maybe a 15-20mm spacer in the rear.
I am not slammed so thats why I am asking if it's possible.

Yes those are Domo bandaids.... I have some surface rust there, which will be fixed when the flares go on.

I'd recommend you rolling and pulling your rear quarter prior to putting the over fender on if you really don't want to cut the panel. You when then need some aggressive wheel alignment to get that wheel set up and spacer to work. But I can be done, since people run low offsets on a stock body.

People will say but that is the whole point of the over fender, to allow you to run a bigger tire and lower offset. But I can see why you wouldn't want to cut the quarter and make such a permanent modification that might not be reversible
