So I got bored the other day and thought I would paint my OEM Brake Calipers to match my P0RN RED Interior!!

Let me know what you think!!

Also changed my Oil/ Oil Filter/ F&R brake pads/ Brake Fluid during this time...

That looks sick, i really want to paint mine yellow. I don't have a lift or anything like that. It would be greatly appreciated to do a DIY for paint your calipers and do you have to take them off?

No, you don't need to, but I would advise doing it when you do a brake change that way you can clean the calipers and check the rubber pin covers/piston seal and make sure everything is greased.

Love the P0RN red

i painted mine while on the car, used the spray paint stuff, used like 3 coats. I taped up everywhere i didnt want paint (covered most of the rotors, but if you get paint on here it doesnt matter, braking will get it off) Anyways, it looked great for a few months. Now its fading and looks like a shitty job and I dont like it. I want to take them off, clean them real good, sand them to make them have that smooth look, and redo everything, and use a clear coat this time. To make it look nice and stay looking nice but havent found the time

what kind of paint did you use?

ive got a MCB/BLK with stock wheels and want red calipers...probably laquer them tho...also seen honda caliper stickers on ebay...

how much work to get the calipers off and ready to be sprayed? would you get away with taking pads out, taping pistons and brake lines and painting?

I used that and worked great. Was a brush on so can easily do it without removing the breaks or anything. Holding up except for a couple chips and been a couple years now driving through salt roads and everything.
