Anyone done this?.what's better way to do this don't wanna mess up the decals ..thanks ahead ppl.

what kind of paint are you using? im guessin you arent using g2 caliper paint as it doesnt need a clear coat. either way, ive done my calipers 3 times and have installed decals everytime and i have never had any issues with the decals. no clear coat was needed. i used spray can caliper paint the first time and than g2 paint for my other two applications.

Do it once, do it right, use G2 Caliper Paint. It's a two part epoxy - I daily drive my S2000 and after two years they still look like I just painted them.

I also installed S2000 decals once the paint dried - no clear coat - and I don't have any issues with the decals chipping/peeling off.

Dont bother... i painted mine with VHT caliper paint and didnt clear coat and added brembo TEMP gauge (its a sticker essentialy) and year later still holding on strong...

(just make sure you heat them up with some breaking to cure the paint so it doesnt chip etc. ( i did my curing in a kitchen oven ...but talk about "toxic fumes day" alright )

I have always put my decals on then clear over that way I can wax / wipe them off without having to worry about the decals pealing up. Nice shine and looks like the decal was painted on. More of a OEM look.

G2 caliper paint is the way to go. Unfortunately Honda shut down the go to decal supplier in 2008. I painted mine with G2 blue and installed "DecalGal" S2000" logos no clear over or under. Still mint after 10 years and 4 sets of pads. Not sure what she used but I continue to puzzle over how durable it is ( both heat and abrasion).

Do not waste your time, money and energy on Duplicolor. G2 is far better. I have used both and I will never recommend duplicolor. It chips way to easy.
