I just ordered one. He said I was the 3rd one for S2000 today. He was wondering what was going on.

Nobody, are their published results showing the PRM to work better than the Comptech, because if there were, I would order a PRM today.
Thanks,
Nix

i'd like to see a back to back dyno of the PRM, Comptech, and AEM. I'd be will to toss someone's comptech or PRM onto my car and dyno it (since my car is AEM-ready). i don't think the PRM is worth almost $300. sorry, but i think it's pretty funny how some of you believe that air rushes through the opening in the chassis behind the headlights (made for removing bulbs). anyone measure the temperature of the AEM, Comptech, and PRM tubing after a drive and compare the differences? i'm willing to bet it's minimal and the difference in temp would probably be due to changing weather/road conditions.

i was close to buying a comptech, but imho, foam filters are terrible for high-revving applications.

I haven't seen dyno charts for the PRM and for intakes on NA engines I wouldn't trust the charts anyways--too many variables with engine temps/atmospheric pressure changes, etc. Plus a dyno won't be able to chart any impact of colder air coming in because ther won't be any!

My "Test" is to run against a coworkers stock S4. Right now, with no mods, my S2000 and the stock S4 are dead even from 20mph - 100mph. With the intake any real world gains (or losses) will be apparent.

I just took a look at the opening behind the headlight at lunch, and I could see right down to the ground through it, so I could see how air could flow through it, though probably better w/ the fake duct removed.

I'm thinking of removing the stock air box to fit my video camera in there to see if the air flows through there when moving.

auDD -

How are you going to see air moving with a video camera? I guess you could get a stick, tie a smoke grenade to it, light it, then go for a drive.

I was going to hook up some tassles like from the ends of little kids bikes to the wiring behind the headlights, or something of that sort, so that air flow could be observed. The camera has infrared to see in the dark also.

All I have to go on is my accelerometer runs (probably more than 16 according to the log book since the PRM install) and trust me, there was a DEFINITE improvement over stock. I showed a consistent 8-9hp gain in the hp measurements. There is PLENTY of air getting into the wheel well opening and the path which goes from the grille into the radiator area and behind it. It basically comes down to asthetics and price. For the power improvements and ease of install, I think the PRM is definitely worth the money. I have always thought shorter intake tubes are better than long ones...it's just been my experience. I wouldn't bank on my observations since I've done no definitive study, but for ease of iinstall alone, the PRM seems to be a better choice than the others...as long as it works and it does.

I can't wait for it to come. How long did it take you to install again? Any tips?
