Default PSS9 Install help

Trying to take the coilover apart to install the OEM top hats, I saw a thread with pictures on how to put it all together but my main concern is the knob... how do I remove the knob? Just the 21mm nut?

Thanks

What knob are you talking about? The one on top of the pss9 shock used to adjust the stiffness?

are you talking about the adjustment knob? IIRC, it's small and you shouldn't have to remove it.

the dial with the 1-9 numbers on it needs a 1.5 mm hex if i remember correctly. the base of the adjustment knob yeah i just used something big enough to fit, not sure if its 21mm or not. it locks up against the nut that you're suppoesd to put under it. if you have more questions feel free to pm

You have to remove it but make sure to mark it so you can put it back on in the right orientation... use a sharpie.

The big install thread has pictures...

I suppose it would probably make sense to mark it with a longer line so that there is no question about the direction. When taking it apart for the first time, mark it like this so you know exactly how it was assembled from the factory.

hope that helps

they aren't set from the factory...

from that other page... link

my spring perch heights are 12-7/8" for the rears and 8-3/8" for the fronts.
- as measured (as per diagram) from center of mount screw -

front rear of car is the same ride height and no rubbing
