Default Pure White HID

Hi guys i been idle for awhile now but i am planing of buying a set of HID for my 04 s2k GPW i want it to be pure white with no blueish tint. I am new to lighting and in cars for general so what K's should i get? 5k or 5.5k? i know 6k it will give off a light blue tint... so thanks all.

4300K is actually about the closest to "white" that you are going to get. The higher you go you will start to get blue...then purple...then dark blue.

Here is a chart that shows the full color spectrum for Kelvin HID temps. It is a large photo so I won't post it directly here.

I agree with you Dewey.

To the OP:

Any reason you need to buy these for you S? The stock HIDs provide a very nice white light will very little blueing. Do yours no longer work?

I just like the stock 4.3k the best... and see no need in changing.

4300k has a tint of yellow when driving, but when pointed at the grass or a wall its like super white but i prefer whiter like him but i bought myself some 6k bulbs cause i couldnt find 5300k

I literally see zero sign of tint of yellow in 4300k. Maybe it has when bulb gets real old? When turned on, it's bluish and later it's just pure white.

lol get yours eyes checked i would say pure white is 4800-5000k

4300k I think is supposed to be the brightest bulb. Anything higher is just more blueish tint to it. I see no yellow at all either. Must be something going on with your bulbs if you see a yellow tint.
