Default Question about dash component.

Alright, I installed an aftermarket radio in my car the day that I got it.

Obviously from that day on the dash controls to the left of the steering wheel do not work. I am curious about that piece from a CR that came with no stereo or a/c. I have not asked a dealership about it yet. I used to work for one of the 3 in my area but they never know the answers to questions like these. I would like to replace mine with the piece from the CR but can not find it.

+ feedback would be appreciated

I'm not really worried about the dash controls working. I think it would look a lot cleaner to just take out the controls.

So, anyone with a CR that came without a radio please post a picture of your push button start

Did they make a delete plate for those buttons..?

All the CR's I've seen had the buttons there IIRC. I never knew if they had A/C or radio (or the absence of) though.

See, that is my issue. I know they produced them with no radio or ac but I have never seen one. I would assume that the dash piece would be a solid piece with just the push button start in the middle.

interested in this as well, bump for confirmation

Just posted on a local forum to a guy that works in the dealer's parts dept. If it is only a plate, he can at least let us know if it's available to buy.

I do plan on talking to a guy I used to work with at one of my local dealer. He might be able to pull up more then I could on majestic. It should be just a plate with the start button in the middle, at least that is what I am hoping.

That would be nice. However, there's a good chance it's the same. Even though the CR does not come with a spare tire (comes with compressor kit instead), they still use the same trunk lining piece with the bulge for the spare tire.

The reason I believe this might be different though is because the main reason for removing the radio and ac was to save weight. Now removing all those little switches and wires would be, in my opinion, just as important to remove as the radio and speakers espcially since they have no purpose without them.
