Last week he said he would call them again this week since the guys dad died. Therefore if he called he would have a update but I guess either he didn't call or the news he got wasn't very good and he choose not to post it
Actually there was nothing firm to post. I got a soft commitment and told that my job was a priority. Hut than again, I am not the businesses only customer and not the only customer effect by the two deaths (Sister and Mother) he had in about a 30 span. Heck if both of those happen to me, you would not hear anything from me, as I would be curled up into a ball, crying like a baby.

I really just did not have anything that would be a value to post. I just called again before I posted this. If anyone want to get pissed, or what not, just tell me you would like to cancel your order. No harm no foul. You will not be the first to do it, or the last. It happens and is to be expected. We really don't have much control beyond canceling our order and looking for a new vendor. And if you think this has taken a long time, just thing what starting over will take. Also we could just cancel the whole project. But we are waiting, biding our time, reminding the manufacture that we are waiting and you (my customers) want it done yesterday.

I am sorry it is taking a long time, custom stuff always take longer then expected for the initial run.

Hey stratocaster, don't worry about it, don't cancel the whole project, there are still a good amount of people interested in it

I'd rather wait another couple of months than not have them at all.

Man I'm not mad. You just said I'll update when I call them next week and we never got a update. It's fine if you didn't have anything of any value to give us but a "hey they didn't have any news really and we all are still waiting" is better then nothing at all. I've been wanting these for over a year and I'm glad you are bringing them back and I figure if I keep asking you for updates then that need for urgency will be carried on to the people making these.

As for his mom and sister dealths it's sad and I understand he's going through a tought time but work is work and personal life is personal life. he should understand that like everyone else.

Sorry if I pissed you off I didn't mean to. I'm just a waiting like the rest of us.

maybe we'll have these before summer is over. hopefully.

Try not to take this personally, but typically, that philosophy changes as one matures. Once you reach your 40s+...and one starts watching everyone around them that they knew & loved 'disappear' from their Life... Well, then one's personal life really seems like pretty much the most important thing. And a 'paycheck for a limited-run niche product', for instance, won't take precedence.

At least that's how I see Life today. But when I was in my 20s & 30s?...honestly didn't care a lick.

Also, just my 2 pennies, but because there is a LOT of [more than perceived] impatience going on here for...I'll repeat...a limited-run niche product. I would add that as some are backing out for other gee-gaws...that's putting the capital-burden back on Rick's to see the cost of this limited production run get put through. And that was not how this project was initially 'sold' to interested S2000 owners.

...sorry, I guess that might have been 3 or 4 pennies . Regardless, folks, please...just be patient. This *will* happen (assuming folks maintain positive interest).

Thanks
Dave

Okay Dave, here is my $.50 worth haha

Dave, must i remind you that i am only 23? you met me! i have the same philosophy regarding personal life as you. Although i feel, for the most part, it should stay separate, if something happens like a family member (GOD FORBID TWO IN A 30 DAY SPAN!!!!!!) pass, my mind will be on personal matters 24/7. bills and paychecks will work out no matter what, the most important thing is to make sure your well being is still intact. Cars, USDM Diffusers, computers etc are material objects, they can be replace, substituted and waited for. People are non-replaceable. It its 100% understandable that a limited time, once production niche project would take a back burner for family issues. I just wish that everyone could understand that ya know?

As for Financial burden on ricks... IMHO, i'm already out the 110 bucks. If ricks decides that there cannot be a discount for the first 8 buyers (or what ever the number actually is now) that would be 100% fine with me. I would honestly pay premium for these. I've been wanting them for a long time. I, however, will cut costs other places (not buying LED running lights an blinker lights for now, so long as halo lights are still happening haha)

Ricks/Jeff, take all the time you need. We've waited this long for it, what is another month?? I mean yes, i would LOVE for these to be in my hands right now so i can do what i need to do with them and get down to your house dave, pay you 200 buckeroos and get the Halo's installed as well as the USDM Clears. but in the GRAND scheme of things.. i'm in good health, my car runs (minus the noise i've told you about from the rear), i have a great internship/job for the summer which i love to come to every day. My mom is a breast cancer surviver. If there is one thing i learned form the whole ordeal, its to slow down. Keep a positive attitude, there are way more important things in life (like family) to worry about than stupid day to day things. Why let something as petty as not getting the USDM Clears (in all honestly its just a Bling factor any ways) last week get me down?

okay, consider that a RANT

STRATOCASTER (i think your name is Jeff, i keep forgetting if your Jeff or James form ricks): thank you for any effort you're putting into this. it IS appreciated and i, for one, am very grateful that ricks was generous enough to pursue USDM Clears again.

One - Two man business don't just go on when that one man (owner) leaves to attend personal business. They come to a complete stop. Family take priority and they always should. Just so we know, he does understand, we are not his only customer that is waiting for their product.

I get passionate, but rarely do I get mad. I would never pull the plug unless I had no choice without letting the pre-paid buyer have a say.

Thanks
Jeff
