if I don't get a update within a week guys I'm canceling my order. I didn't mind the wait but its been over 3 months. How hard is it to make these diffusers using injection molding? the molds are the hardest part and since hes shipped out some that would mean they are already made. If one single person sat at the injection molding press for one single day they could easily make over 100 sets.

Josh

I will cancel it for you any time you want. I have sent out several broadcast e-mails, to all and if you did not get it, I am sorry. I can only send them. SMTP e-mail is not a registered letter. I can not insure delivery.

Update:
The manufacture has had to retool the molds (I.E. Make new ones) . the defective rate was 100% on the left side since his last shipment. The defect was on the lower clip, it kept breaking when the item was pulled from the mold.

Delays, Delays, Delays, Not something we like to hear. Also these are not injection molded, they are hand cast. In the past it took

i believe Jeff just pwned all of josh's complaints.

as i had suggested, it was as easy as dialing 10 digits to find out information. And seeing how this is not a full time business (rick's) then i believe a wait for completely custom, essentially one off products should be expected. Even if rick's didn't pick up the phone, leaving a message is 100 Times better than an email or posting in this thread. Hell, calling every day would work too. Everyone has been patient for these, and everyone was in the same boat.

It would be POINTLESS for this to be injection molded (i work in the plastics industry as a conveying/drying system engineer). For such a short production run, having an entire set up for an injection molding machine would be extremely expensive and we would've been paying around 200-300 dollars for these puppies instead of the 100 (and maybe a discount???) that we paid.

Jeff:
When i was gently sanding my diffusers, the bottom left tab broke on me while doing the same process on the right it did not. Perhaps this was an issue before the second run. The fitment inside the housing is so tight that it should not matter (as said by w1ngman Dave to me directly). perhaps Josh would like to be shipped one of the ones with a broken tab? If he is so inclined to get these within days, perhaps a deal could be discussed if the defective diffusers were not reground into flake already.

just a suggestion. IMHO there is always a way to have everyone get what they want, people just need to be patient and be able to think on their feet and compromise
