Rear sitting lower than front need help!
I just had some new springs installed on my Ap1. They are suppose ton lower the car an inch front and rear. After the install I noticed the rear end is sitting lower than the front and the drive/ handling is not good. Could it be that the shop installed the front in the rear and rear in ten front or are all 4 springs the same. How can I verify this to correct the issue. Thanks for your help.
You need to find out based on the brand of spring if there is a front/rear bias, or if the springs are wound differently in the front or rear. Not a lot of brands run the same spring and rate in all 4 corners. Search for Progressive vs Linear wound springs. Also search for spring rate. Also search for the brand of your spring. Then search for "uneven drop". this should pull up some articles regarding preloading the bushing. In your search you should find articles about DIY's, spring rates, ride heights, etc. Good luck.
what brand springs do you have? a lot of springs have model or part numbers on them to designate spring rate and length. If you jack up your car maybe your can find these markings and determine if the springs are on backwards.
Skunk2 springs installed the right way will make the rear look lower in the rear but it's actually even. The rear fenders are longer so they tuck the rear tire more than the front ones thos making it look lower in the rear.
You might have the front and rears mixed up. But, the bigger problem is you bought very low-end springs. It's generally a bad idea to go cheap on suspension components (springs, shocks, coils, etc.).
I've made that mistake myself.
Good luck.

Cleary the title states red, as does the pic, but the product description states they are polished blue, out of all the goods and bads are they red or blue? lol. I agree with above, its hard to say if they are installed wrong or just poor quality. Let us know what you figure out. I thought it would have been fairly difficult to put the fronts on the rear when I did my install, but you never know I guess. Good Luck!
