Default Rear wing installating

Hello,

I have ordered this wing:
http://www.hardtopguy.com/store/product.ph...7&cat=26&page=1

And have it here now, I want to install it but I am a bit scared.

Does someone have installed this wing himself?
A DIY would be great, or some pics of the installation.

I am afraid to just make some holes

I got mine from the second link and it has excellent fit and finish. Did your wing come with instructions? If need be I can take pics of the bolt holes when I get home.

Follow the install instructions here
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/j...dtype=M&hidrm=y
and u will be fine. I just put mine on last week and everything was super perfect. I couldnt believe it either. The holes lined up perfectly. Just make sure u have the right bit sizes and you will be fine. I followed the instructions there. Only thing i didnt do since i dont have the tool is changed the springs for the trunk. The ones on now are still fine. Maybe later ill do that, but no big deal. Took me about 1hr for this job btw.

No I didn't got instructions with the wing especially the hole template seems to be usefull Also don't have all screws with it I think.

Wow that sucks. If i would have know i could have saved the template, scanned it and emailed it to you. If its a genuine honda one, it should have came with it. Maybe go to the dealer and ask them if they can get it. You really need it for the secondary holes.

I have this wing and installation only took about 30-45 min.

I bought it from a friend who works at a dealership and he did the install for me. The link above that has the installation instructions is dead on and actually very simple if you have the template.

The only thing we did differently was after we drilled the holes we put a coat of paint on the bare metal of the hole edges.

Make sure when you put the trunk bushings back on that they are screwed in to the same depth as you took them out. If you don't do that then the trunk might not seal correctly.

I did change out the trunk springs for the newer heaver ones but the standard trunk springs worked just fine. He had the trunk spring tool and it made things much easer swapping them out.

If anyone needs a set of the standard trunk springs drop me a line and we can work out a deal.

Here are 2 pics of the installed OEM wing

Good luck.

The template should be packaged in the box, it's just cardboard. Make sure you're not overlooking it. They pack it in the box at the factory.

Yeah, I have thrown everything away already Stupid me.

But anyway, I have emailed hardtopguy and they have sent back a scanned version.

With that printed out (the holes match ) and your help in this topic I'm sure its gonna work. I keep you updated.
