Default Removing dent from SS header?

Any suggestions on removing a dent from a J's header? It's on one of the runners.
I'd like to have it pulled before it gets sent to be coated.

As far as I know the only way would be to heat up the metal enough to re-mold it. You could probably easily take it to a muffler shop and see if they can do anything. If they can fix a bend in a SS exhaust, can't see why they can't do it to a header.

I called a few local muffler shops and none would do it. I'll try some machine shop tomorrow.

okay dont laugh but old school way to fix a dented pipe around the machine shop i worked at was sand...basically you pack it with wet sand and keep forcing more in, you basically end up hammering sand

just use a solid piece of small metal and be very careful not to whack the header...fill it with sand and whack the piece of metal against the sand with the hammer...the sand will work the dent out

just have to get a piece of wood to drill holes in to mount the header to so the sand doesnt pour out, and make sure you get all the sand out once done...it works i promise
