Is it possible to replace an AP1 softtop with an AP2 version? I am asking because I want to see if its possible to switch to the softtop with the glass window opposed to the plastic window. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

Hey, Try the search But yes If you have a plastic window in the back you can buy an ap2 softop, but you need a strap kit to modify your frame. It's very simple. Hardtopguy sells them.

Is it worth getting the parts to do the mod from hardtop guy when you order a new top or is it cheaper to get all the parts like in the wright up? Also what about this site. It's not oem but it is half the price and includes all the parts for the conversion.

Robbins tops are very cheap, and I hear good things

 

why not just get the ap2 soft top and the actual metal frame?

because i was looking for something thats not at the price of oem. the robbins tops are about half the price and you can get one made for a ap1 that has glass in it so you dont have to mod anything.
