Question Replacement Tonneau Snaps?

My tonneau cover is missing one of the snaps. Is this a generic part or Honda-specific?

One popped out on mine after I removed it in the field. I could not find it on the ground or in the car so I had to get one from the dealer. Not cheap by any means but it works. I use the cover a lot. It is on now and has been for about 6 months. Keeps the top out of the sun, keeps it clean, and it looks nice. I remove it for overnight road trips.

BTW, try using the plastic auto trim tools for reaching in there to pull the "button" to release the catch. Sometimes it is hard to fit your hand in there to do it. HF has them for cheap. I keep one in the side pocket of the door just for that.

Thanks for the tip, can they be ordered from Amazon? What would be the right description?

Trim tools? I just picked them up for a few bucks at Harbor Freight.
However on Amazon try this:

Amazon Amazon

The one on the far right is the one I use.

About halfway down the page, the "Loxx" fasteners are the same snaps. I bought new ones for the snaps that fell off my tonneau.

Honda has discontinued much of the little stuff.

^ I found this thread / bulletin, which supports your comment. The “long” snap (90318-S2A-000) seems to have been discontinued.

Do the female Loxx components work with Honda’s male components?

The answer is “yes”. I ordered the Loxx product linked above, and they do work with the Honda studs.

HOWEVER, the “Loxx® Pull It Up Fastener Cloth‑to‑Cloth Set for Thick Assemblies” only works on the bungee straps. They are too short for the holes pictured in my original post above.

I have now ordered the “Loxx® Pull It Up Fastener Upper Head Smooth XXL With Regular Washer” for the thicker section of the tonneau cover.
