Review: Cusco 1.5 Clutch style LSD full lock.
Why in the world would I change the differential on an NA S2K?
Puddymod and I speak occasionally about making cars go faster, and he gives me insight into the actual workings of the parts and pieces that do so. My mind wanders in the technical aspects of these things, as I am more concerned with the nut behind the wheel. After all, I am the one trying to control all the great gizmos and gadgets that Engi-Nerds like Puddy come up with, all the while doing my best to keep my car shiny side up.
The little Honduh has a few miles on it, and with what I have done to the engine and tranny I knew that my weakest link was the differential. I have removed the clutch delay valve, and I am revving my AP2 to 9k, and I drive slightly less conservatively than most.
I run my car quite a bit in the CFR SCCA Solo auto-X events. I am the 2007 Florida east and west coast BSP champion and tied John Ward for championship points in 2008. My car is also my daily driver. I wanted to fix the diff problem before it started, and while doing so improve the car.
After talking at length with Puddy, we collectively determined that a Cusco 1.5 Clutch style LSD at full lock should do the trick. It changed the car, dramatically.
CLUNKS
After an install session, Puddy insisted that he ride with me on my first drive. This was a smart thing to do.

Thank you Bill
I just read the review, nice
Pretty good stuff, "just a little white knuckled"
I really appreciated the dinner and conversation after I did the install, it was a good trade. I was also very happy you called on your way home and let me know you were fine and was getting happy with your new toy. I got home at midnight and went straight to bed
Good luck with you my friend

yup puddy is awesome, is that my old one ben?

The one I put originally in yours is in another rear now and he is also happy with it's performance. The clutch type LSD is a hoot to drive with but, it is not for everyone. You must be that much more respectful of the car and mindful of your driving
